在UL2238认证中，关于塑料材料的HAI在标准中的要求，下面我们根据UL2238的标准去解读学习。

标准的第7.3.4章节

7.3.4 High-current arc ignition (HAI)
 
7.3.4.1 A polymeric material used for electrical insulation of live parts shall have a high-current arc ignition (HAI) performance level category (PLC) rating not less than specified in Table 7.2 as determined in accordance with the Standard for Polymeric Materials - Short Term Property Evaluations, UL476A. For a material with other than a VTM flammability classification, the acceptability of the material shall be determined using the material thickness employed in the end-use product or a nominal 1/8-in (3.2-mm) thickness, whichever is greater.
解读：用于带电部件绝缘的聚合材料应具有高电流电弧点火（简称HAI） 性能等级类别（PLC） 等级， 该等级不低于表7.2中规定的标准， 该等级是根据《聚合材料标准-短期性能评估》 确定的，参照 UL 746A。
         对于不是VTM可燃性分类的材料， 应使用最终用途产品中使用的材料厚度或标称1/8英寸（3.2毫米） 厚度，以较大者为准，来确定材料的可接受性。
Exception No. 1: This requirements does not apply to:
         此要求不适用于如下情况：
A polymeric material used in over-mold applications to form the enclosure of live parts, and
        a) 用于包覆成型应用的聚合物材料， 用于形成带电部件的外壳，也就是产品外壳不需要遵守这个要求
b)     A polymeric material used within contact with live parts not to exceed 0.039 inch (1 mm) in length.
        b) 与带电部件接触时使用的聚合材料， 其长度不得超过 0.039 英寸（ 1 毫米）的可以不用遵循

Exception No. 2: A polymeric material used for electrical insulation or enclosure of live parts is not required to comply with this requirements if it complies with the High-Current Arc Resistance to Ignition Test in Section 37.
      如果用于电气绝缘或带电部件外壳的聚合材料符合第 37 节中的大电流引弧耐燃性测试的， 则也不需要遵守该要求。
 
         

      上表是table 7.2，  跟table 7.1一样的解读方法 ，左边是关于阻燃等级，右边是大电流起弧测试时间，还有对应的等级，
      阻燃等级从低到高排序是HB， V-1， V-2 ，V-0， 5VB， 5VA， HAI的等级从低到高排序 是 4  3  2 1 0,数字越小性能越好。
